DESCRIPTION:Logan Park General Meeting September 18\, 7pm @ Logan Park \n \nAgenda:\n\nLogan Park Gathering Space Bench \nSafety Committee Discussion – Rashid Ali 2nd Precinct Crime Prevention Specialist\n\nMore about the Gathering Space Bench: \nYou are invited to Logan Park\, September 18th at 7pm\, to meet Kyle Fokken artist of the Gathering Space Bench. \nKyle will introduce you to the project with a small mock-up of the bench and answer your questions. The open-circular\, multi-level bench is intended to attract folks to sit and interact. Colored lights within the bench are timed for evening and nighttime hours adding a warm\, glowing ambiance to the space around it.   \nThe purpose of The Gathering Space is to provide a new experience in the park\, a place for neighbors to meet new friends. Kyle’s bench design was inspired to create an outdoor “third space” to bring people together. This was not just in response to the pandemic\, but also as a way for us to take a break from digital devices and get to know each other.
