For the past 22 years, Logan Park has held a holiday light contest in December. The aim is to lower crime and lighten spirits in the darkest months. A prize is given out for first, second, and third place. Judges must have a background in the arts and also live outside the neighborhood. The Board of Logan Park Neighborhood Association assures impartiality and a background sufficient to make aesthetically sound decisions regarding lights.
