NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING – Highlight Center & Tower
Hillcrest Development, LLLP has submitted the following land use applications to allow the construction of a new three-story parking ramp containing 395 vehicle parking stalls and construction of an approximately 1,500 square-foot addition and renovations to an existing five-story industrial building at 1201, 1208, 1212, 1228, and 1318 Jackson Street Northeast and 807 Broadway Street Northeast:
- Conditional use permit to establish a planned unit development consisting of the following uses:
- A new three-story parking ramp containing 395 vehicle parking stalls
- Approximately 172,000 square feet of office space
- An approximately 39,000 square-foot museum
- An approximately 9,000 square-foot brewery or distillery
- Approximately 7,000 square feet of food and beverage uses
- An approximately 4,000 square-foot entertainment venue
- Approximately 2,000 square feet of retail space
- Site plan review
- Preliminary plat
The City Planning Commission will meet on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 4:30 p.m., in Room 317 City Hall, 350 S 5th St, Minneapolis, MN. Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Planning Department staff will issue a recommendation to the Planning Commission. After hearing from the public, the Planning Commission will make a determination based on required legal findings of fact. Please visit www.lims.minneapolismn.gov/IndependentBodies/IndependentBodiesMeetings/CPC for the agenda with staff reports (web page will be updated by the end of the day Wednesday prior to the meeting date).
In accordance with the Zoning Code, all property owners within 350 feet of the subject property are notified of this public hearing. BKV, on behalf of Artspace Northrup King, LLC, submitted the following applications to allow for an amendment to a planned unit development that would add the following uses to existing buildings: 32,000 square feet of office space, 35,000 square feet of light manufacturing/warehouse space, and enclosed parking at 1500 Jackson St NE:
- Conditional use permit to allow for an amendment to a planned unit development.
- Site plan review.
